My_Stupid_Blog
I built this whole blog engine out of whole cloth. It's mine, I built it.
I looked at a number of different options when wanting to start blogging on my site. I looked at Movable Type, I looked at Blogger. I liked Blogger's Google connection and API set-up. I liked Movable Type's sense of style.
But. Movable Type is expensive if you want to have multiple blog authors (Liz and I) and Blogger has some confusing limits if you want to self-host (I already had thewehners.net). Also, neither of them handle blogging categories, or posting areas, or what have you. That was a feature I was very interested in having.
So, I built my own blog. This blog. my_stupid_blog.
It's written in PHP, with a MySQL back-end. It's still growing (features coming soon: comments, rss) but it's exactly what I need for now.
